The Mini Group Introductory Class is a "try before you buy" class. If one of the following describes you, this is where you will want to start:
If you answered "yes" to any of the above statements, then the Mini Group Introductory Class is for you. The class is 2.5 hours in length, with the first hour being spent on land talking about how learning to swim works, how to learn without fear, sharing your stories of success or failure and your swimming goals, and most importantly to clarify common misconceptions about swimming. The next 1.5 hours are spent in the water. During the pool session we will apply what has been learned in the talking portion of the class. This takes our teaching theory into action. Each step is to allow you, the student, to feel safe, fill in any missing steps, go at your own pace, and allow for new breakthroughs and experiences in the water. The class wraps up with a discussion of what is next for each student and how to take the information you just learned into your own swim practice.
